African Research Symposium

The African Development Group of Columbia is hosting the inaugural African Research Symposium as part of the 14th Annual African Economic Forum. This symposium will engage speakers and panelists on the challenges and advances of research on and about the African continent. Topics of discussion will include current frontiers, sources of funding, retention of intellectual property, local participation, capacity building of research institutions and technology transfer. This symposium will also feature posters from faculty, student and industry researchers.

The African Development Group is soliciting posters from faculty, students and industry researchers from within Columbia and beyond. If you’d like to participate in the Poster Presentation section of the inaugural African Research Symposium, please fill out this form by March 2, 2017.

Admission to the African Research Symposium is free and open to the public.

Admissions networking luncheon will take place during lunch at the African Economic Forum. Columbia School of International and Public Affairs, Columbia Business School and Columbia Law School will all have dedicated space for Admissions Representatives to meet prospective students at the luncheon.
